r.e.e.l.'s Board of Directors Biennial Election

r.e.e.l. Election

Hello r.e.e.l. members, It is that time again! Every two years r.e.e.l. elects a new board of directors to take the helm and navigate the organization into the next phase of success. This 4th biennium election, r.e.e.l. received a great response with 19 nominations for various board positions!

On Monday, November 10, 2014 at 12 PM EST, r.e.e.l. will introduce you to the candidates on the website and e-mail a web-based voting ballot to members so you can have the opportunity to cast your vote for each of the twelve (12) vacant board member positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Parliamentarian, Ward 7 Representative, Ward 8 Representative, At-Large Representative, Membership Coordinator, and Event Planning Co-Chairs (3). Online voting will end on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 12 PM EST.

Camp Aims to Expose Young People to STEM Careers

WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 5, 2013)—With America facing a growing shortage of minorities and women entering science, technology, math and engineering (STEM) careers, a locally-based summer camp is out to change the disturbing trend by exposing more young people to STEM fields. Twenty incoming seventh, eighth and ninth graders will see these careers up close during the East of the River Career Exposure Camp August 5-10, 2013 at the Southeast White House in Washington, D.C.
