The District of Columbia (D.C.) will be holding a mayoral Democratic primary on April 1, 2014, where voters will have the chance to choose the Democratic nominee for the D.C. Mayoral General Election on November 4, 2014. River East Emerging Leaders (r.e.e.l.) asked all eight Democratic candidates to answer a series of questions that many of our members and neighbors have asked us to inquire about, and is aimed to inform voters about the candidate's stance on East of the River issues. Six of the those candidates responded, Councilmember Muriel Bowser, Councilmember Jack Evans, Mayor Vincent Gray, Reta Jo Lewis, Andy Shallal, and Councilmember Tommy Wells and r.e.e.l. has provided their responses.
Note: This is not an endorsement of any candidate. Candidates are listed alphabetically.
